You\u2019re probably a great guy who just wants the best for his woman. No doubt you\u2019ll do <a href=\"https:\/\/derekrake.com\/blog\/how-do-relationships-start\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">everything you can to make your relationship work<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The challenge is HER.<\/strong> Will SHE do everything she can?<\/p>\n<p>There are three specific challenges you\u2019ll need to help her overcome:<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Challenge #1: Social Disapproval<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>To a woman, no matter her age, her reputation is EVERYTHING.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And she\u2019ll do anything \u2013 even break up with a great guy like you \u2013 to preserve her reputation in society. (This is especially so if she&#8217;s an <a href=\"https:\/\/derekrake.com\/blog\/loving-someone-with-insecurities\/\">insecure woman<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>So you\u2019ll need to relieve her fears of social disapproval if you want to make your relationship work.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Challenge #2: Mismatched Expectations<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Are you on the same page when it comes to the following issues?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Whether to get married, and when<\/li>\n<li>Whether to have kids, and how many<\/li>\n<li>Your psychology about money<\/li>\n<li>Where to live, how to live, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Your overall goals for the relationship<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If she\u2019s not in the same boat as you, it\u2019s probably better NOT to pursue the relationship.
