Most guys have this problem.<\/p>\n<p>Again, it&#8217;s not your fault&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;and yet guess what? <strong>It <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">IS<\/span> your responsibility to overcome it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That means you must DESTROY approach anxiety if you have it.<\/p>\n<p>And this Shogun Method guide will show you how.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s start by dispelling some myths about approaching women out of the way&#8230;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Pickup Lines: Why They Suck<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Men with approach anxiety tend to use \u201cpickup lines\u201d as a sort of \u201ccrutch.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>They can\u2019t start conversations with women themselves, so they let pickup lines break the ice for them.<\/p>\n<p>Some common (and embarrassing) pickup lines include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cHey girl. Glad I brought my library card \u2013 I\u2019m totally checking you out.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cAre you a thief? \u2018Coz you stole my heart.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>\u201cCan you touch me? I wanna be touched by an angel.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Shudder.<\/p>\n<p>Well, guess what?<\/p>\n<p>Not only are pickup lines embarrassing, but they also <a href=\"http:\/\/universe.byu.edu\/1998\/02\/09\/cheesy-pickup-lines-dont-work-for-everyone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DON\u2019T WORK<\/a>. And if you think you can make a woman open up to you, and you can build <a href=\"https:\/\/derekrake.com\/blog\/sexual-chemistry\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sexual chemistry<\/a> with her just by using pickup lines then you&#8217;re sorely mistaken.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s why&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women know all about pickup lines.<\/strong> And the moment you use one on them, they\u2019ll instantly go on the defensive.<\/p>\n<p>If you use pickup lines to start conversations with women, the only women who will be interested in you are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>The needy ones<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>The clingy ones<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>The desperate ones<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Unless you\u2019re okay with that&#8230; then I suggest you <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">DON\u2019T<\/span> use pickup lines.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, use the Shogun Method technique you\u2019re about to learn in this guide.<\/p>\n<p>The technique\u2019s name is <strong>\u201cIntrigue Ping,\u201d<\/strong> and here\u2019s how it works&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong><div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#cb3b34;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#e5554e;border-color:#ffffff;color:#fff;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\">READ ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/derekrake.com\/blog\/how-to-know-if-a-girl-is-playing-you\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How To Know If A Girl Is Playing You<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>The Magic Of Intrigue Pings<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Just like pickup lines, Intrigue Pings are designed to &#8220;open&#8221; women.<\/strong> However, Intrigue Pings are very <strong>different<\/strong> from pickup lines:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>They\u2019re not scripted<\/li>\n<li>They\u2019re not embarrassing<\/li>\n<li>They\u2019re relevant to the situation and\/or environment<\/li>\n<li>And most importantly \u2013 they <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">WORK<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>So, how do you construct an Intrigue Ping?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Well, the formula goes as follows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><em>You say the first part of an Intrigue Ping to <a href=\"https:\/\/derekrake.com\/blog\/how-to-get-her-attention\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">catch her attention<\/a><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>She responds in some way, showing you have her attention<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>You say the second part of the Intrigue Ping, normally with a question relevant to the situation you\u2019re both in<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>We&#8217;ll get into some examples below, but here&#8217;s what you need to know for now:<\/p>\n<p>The result is starkly <strong>different <\/strong>from when you use a pickup line on a woman:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Instead of feeling defensive, she\u2019ll feel <em>intrigued<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Instead of being awkward, the conversation will feel <em>natural<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Instead of wanting to get away from you, she\u2019ll spare a few minutes to talk to you<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sounds great, right?<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How To Break The Ice With A Girl In Person<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>For Dan, who was an artist, I gave examples of Intrigue Pings he could use on women he met at the places he loved the most.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For example, if he spotted a pretty woman in a museum and he wanted to chat her up, he could say:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>HIM:<\/strong> \u201cExcuse me, I know I shouldn\u2019t be asking, but&#8230;\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>HER:<\/strong> \u201cHmm?\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>HIM:<\/strong> \u201c&#8230;is flash photography allowed in this place?\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Or, if he wanted to chat up a woman at a concert:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>HIM:<\/strong> \u201cHey, I know I\u2019ll regret saying this, but&#8230;\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>HER:<\/strong> \u201cWhat is it?\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>HIM:<\/strong> \u201c&#8230;can you tell me about when this band started playing together?\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Or, if he was painting at the park, and a pretty woman was watching him work:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>HIM:<\/strong> \u201cHi there. Can you do me a favor?\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>HER:<\/strong> \u201cYes?\u201d<\/li>\n<li><strong>HIM:<\/strong> \u201cIt\u2019s time for my ice cream and I need some company. Join me for a minute?\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pretty simple, right?<\/p>\n<p>And it doesn\u2019t even matter what your question is. It can be silly. It can even be nonsensical.<\/p>\n<p>As long as it keeps her from getting defensive, and as long as it makes her <em><strong>INTRIGUED<\/strong> <\/em>about you&#8230; you\u2019re in!<\/p>\n<p><strong><div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#cb3b34;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#e5554e;border-color:#ffffff;color:#fff;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\">READ ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/derekrake.com\/blog\/how-to-keep-a-woman-interested\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How To Keep A Woman Interested In You<\/a> (With The Barnum Effect)<\/div><\/div><\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>What To Do After Breaking The Ice<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>The first month Dan used Intrigue Pings, he scored more dates than he had in the last few years.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But he soon realized that he had ANOTHER problem. Starting conversations were no longer a problem for him&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8230;but he didn\u2019t know how to turn friendly conversations into romantic ones.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMeeting women is fun, but I\u2019d like to have a girlfriend now,\u201d he told me. \u201cWhat should I do?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>I helped Dan with that problem, too. I introduced him to two other Shogun Method concepts:<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>IRAE Model<\/strong>, and <strong>Fractionation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The IRAE Model<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>\u201cIRAE\u201d<em> (pronounced EYE-ray) <\/em>is an acronym for the four <a href=\"https:\/\/derekrake.com\/blog\/stages-of-love\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">stages of any relationship with a woman<\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>The Intrigue Stage,<\/strong> where she first feels intrigued by you<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Rapport Stage,<\/strong> where she gets to know you better and trust you more<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Attraction Stage,<\/strong> where she feels romantically attracted to you<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Enslavement Stage,<\/strong> where she becomes emotionally addicted to you for life<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Hence, \u201cIRAE\u201d \u2013 Intrigue, Rapport, Attraction, Enslavement.<\/p>\n<p>If you want a woman to become a girlfriend (or even better, your wife), then you <strong>MUST <\/strong>follow the IRAE Model. No exceptions.<\/p>\n<p>And you must lead her through all four stages, one stage at a time, without skipping any stage. (There&#8217;s a good reason for this &#8211; <strong>trust me<\/strong>.)<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Escalating To Rapport Stage From Intrigue<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Intrigue Pings takes care of the first IRAE Stage: Intrigue.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Rapport Stage is a bit <em>trickier<\/em>. And here&#8217;s why&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Build too much of the &#8220;wrong&#8221; kind of Rapport with her, and <a href=\"https:\/\/derekrake.com\/blog\/friend-zone-signs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">she\u2019ll end up friend-zoning you<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This usually happens when you have &#8220;platonic&#8221; instead of &#8220;sexual&#8221; Rapport with her.
