This is the crap that <strong><em>CAUSES <\/em><\/strong>divorces.<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019ve ever followed any of the above advice (or similar) \u2013 then you\u2019ve been duped.<\/p>\n<p>You weren\u2019t making your relationship work \u2013 you were digging its grave.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here&#8217;s the deal&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cOprah advice\u201d might be good for getting audiences to clap and hug strangers. It might be good for ratings and clicks and \u201cLikes\u201d on Facebook&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>&#8230;but you know what? It DOES NOT work in real life.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Think of it this way:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>50-70 years ago, when \u201cequality\u201d wasn\u2019t the norm, only 10% of marriages ended in divorce.<\/p>\n<p>Today, where \u201cequality\u201d is a buzzword&#8230; a whopping 45-55% of all marriages end in divorce.<\/p>\n<p>My point?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>In relationships and marriages, equality is a death trap.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And if you want your own relationship to work, you\u2019ll need to change your mindset.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fuck &#8220;equality&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When Jay told me his problem, that\u2019s exactly what I told him. And to help him along, I gave him ten new relationship rules to follow.<\/p>\n<p>And if you want your relationship to work out, too&#8230; then take notes&#8230;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How To Make A Relationship Work When It\u2019s Falling Apart \u2013 Ten Rules To Obey<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Rule #1: Make Her Chase You.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Bottom line: don\u2019t be a suck-up.<\/p>\n<p>At all times, you\u2019ll want your wife to feel that if the relationship failed, SHE would have more to lose than you.<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019ll lose her security, her happiness, her validation, her purpose, etc.<\/p>\n<p>How to do that?<\/p>\n<p>Simple. <em>Make her chase you.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the<strong> &#8220;Golden Ratio&#8221;<\/strong> to follow &#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><em>Make sure that at all times, you\u2019re doing (at most) 40% of the work. She should do (at least) 60%.<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>If she texts you three times, you text her back twice. Something like that.<\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<p>Human nature.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The more people invest in something, the more they value it.<\/strong> <\/em>It&#8217;s true.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll want her to value you and your relationship as much as she can. So&#8230; get her to invest in you.<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#cb3b34;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#e5554e;border-color:#ffffff;color:#fff;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\"><strong>READ ALSO: &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/derekrake.com\/blog\/my-spouse-hates-me\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">I Hate My Wife<\/a>.&#8221;<\/strong><\/div><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Rule #2: Don\u2019t Say \u201cI Love You\u201d First.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Yes, it\u2019s important to show your affection. (Well, not too often, anyway.)<\/p>\n<p>But here&#8217;s the deal: <strong>you shouldn\u2019t be the first one to show it.<\/strong> (Not all the time, anyway.)<\/p>\n<p>This ties into the first rule: <em>the one who says \u201cI love you\u201d first is the one who\u2019s more invested.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>And again, you want HER to be more invested than you.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Rule #3: Let Her See You Have Options.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>By \u201coptions,\u201d I mean other women.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your woman needs to know that if she did leave you, you\u2019ll likely be in another relationship before too long.<\/p>\n<p>Now, this doesn\u2019t mean you should go out and start seeing other women. Doesn&#8217;t make any sense, right?<\/p>\n<p>Instead, keep meeting your friends.<\/p>\n<p>Keep building your network.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t subscribe to the piece of \u201cOprah advice\u201d that says you shouldn\u2019t look at other women EVER.<\/p>\n<p>This lets your woman think she\u2019s LUCKY to have you.<\/p>\n<p>And when she feels that way, she\u2019ll do everything she can to keep you.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Rule #4: Be The Rock In Your Relationship.<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>You\u2019re the man. You\u2019re the leader. You\u2019re the head of the household.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t EVER relinquish these roles to your woman, even if she challenges you for them. <a href=\"https:\/\/derekrake.com\/blog\/how-to-be-dominant-in-a-relationship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">You must always dominate your woman<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Because let\u2019s face it \u2013 <em>if you\u2019re weak, she can\u2019t respect you.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If she can\u2019t respect you, she can\u2019t love you.<\/p>\n<p>And if she can\u2019t love you, there\u2019s no reason for her to stay.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t let that happen. Be the rock you need to be. <a href=\"https:\/\/derekrake.com\/blog\/pushover-personality-type\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Don&#8217;t be a pushover<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#cb3b34;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#e5554e;border-color:#ffffff;color:#fff;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\"><strong>READ ALSO: Are You Married To An <a href=\"https:\/\/derekrake.com\/blog\/understanding-a-broken-woman\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Emotionally Damaged Woman<\/a>?<\/strong><\/div><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Rule #5: Never Let Her Figure You Out<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>One of the reasons she fell in love with you the first place?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Your <em>mystery<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>You were <em>dark<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>You were <em>addicting<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>You were like a <em>puzzle<\/em> she couldn\u2019t figure out.<\/p>\n<p>But once she figures you out&#8230; guess what? She\u2019ll get bored. And out of boredom comes frustration.<\/p>\n<p>My advice? Never let it get to that point.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Don\u2019t be upfront about everything<\/span>. Don\u2019t be 100% open.<\/p>\n<p>If she needs to know, let her know.<\/p>\n<p>But if she doesn\u2019t, keep it close to the vest.<\/p>\n<p>Also, never give her direct answers (unless it&#8217;s a &#8220;no&#8221;).<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Rule #6: Have Irrational Confidence In Yourself<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Super important \u2013 you MUST have irrational, ridiculous confidence in yourself.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Most guys make the mistake of wanting to be 100% right about something before saying or doing it.<\/p>\n<p>Most guys are afraid of offending other people.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t be like most guys.<\/p>\n<p>Even if you\u2019re just 70-80% sure you\u2019re right about something, do it anyway.<\/p>\n<p>Even if it makes you look jerk-y or douche-y.<\/p>\n<p>Ever wondered why women love jerks and douchebags?<\/p>\n<p>This is one of the reasons.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019re the captain of your ship. Your woman is the first mate. And she needs the captain to know where he\u2019s taking the relationship and how to get there.<\/p>\n<p>If you don\u2019t have that kind of confidence, she\u2019s going to jump ship. Believe me.<\/p>\n<div class=\"su-note\"  style=\"border-color:#cb3b34;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\"><div class=\"su-note-inner su-u-clearfix su-u-trim\" style=\"background-color:#e5554e;border-color:#ffffff;color:#fff;border-radius:3px;-moz-border-radius:3px;-webkit-border-radius:3px;\"><strong>READ ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/derekrake.com\/blog\/how-to-train-your-wife\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How To Train Your Wife<\/a><\/strong><\/div><\/div>\n<h3><strong>Rule #7: Have A Purpose Greater Than Her<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>To make your relationship work, here&#8217;s the number one requirement:<\/p>\n<p><strong>You need a purpose in life.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And that purpose should be <em>greater <\/em>than simply making your woman happy.<\/p>\n<p>Because if you DON\u2019T have a purpose, what happens is your WOMAN becomes your purpose.<\/p>\n<p>And women HATE that.<\/p>\n<p>When you make her your purpose in life, you\u2019re basically breaking all six previous rules at once<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You\u2019re chasing her (Rules #1 and #2)<\/li>\n<li>You don\u2019t have any other options (Rule #3)<\/li>\n<li>You\u2019re not the rock \u2013 she is (Rule #4)<\/li>\n<li>She figures you out completely (Rule #5)<\/li>\n<li>You don\u2019t zero confidence in your own ability (Rule #6)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Don\u2019t have a purpose greater than her?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blacklabellogic.com\/2017\/03\/13\/gendernomics-finding-your-mission\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Find one quick&#8230;<\/a> before your relationship goes to the dogs.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Rule #8: You Make The Rules<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Remember the analogy of being the captain of your ship?<\/p>\n<p>It bears repeating. You\u2019re the captain. You set the destination, you set the course, and you make the rules for the relationship.<\/p>\n<p>Not her.<\/p>\n<p>The more you give your authority to her, the more she\u2019ll hate you. It&#8217;s true!<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Rule #9: Be Ready To Walk Away<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>This ties into Rule #3 (having options). Sometimes it\u2019s not enough to have options.<\/p>\n<p>Lots of guys pretend to have lots of options in their lives. But deep inside they\u2019re terrified of losing their woman.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t be like that. <strong><em>You\u2019ll have to be willing to lose her.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>How?<\/p>\n<p>For one, by having a greater purpose than her.<\/p>\n<p>If, for instance, her bad behavior is holding you back from achieving your greater purpose&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8230;then you have to be ready to walk away anytime.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This protects you from one of women\u2019s most powerful techniques: <strong>Emotional blackmail.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When she knows she can\u2019t blackmail you into doing something she wants, she\u2019ll either:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Leave you (good riddance); or<\/li>\n<li>Stand down, apologize, and go back to her respectful, submissive self again<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Either way, you win.<\/p>\n<p>So again: Be willing to lose her. It\u2019s something Mother Nature hard-wired into the female psyche over time&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Women want emotional rollercoasters. They need them. They look for them.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And they CREATE them if they can\u2019t find them.<\/p>\n<p>Ever wondered why women love drama so much?<\/p>\n<p>Or why women can be so dramatic, especially when the relationship seems to be going well?<\/p>\n<p>Guess what \u2013 it\u2019s their need for emotional rollercoasters.
