That’s a good thing, no doubt. There is, however, a downside<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don’t get me wrong. Many accusations of harassment are legitimate…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

…however, sometimes they result from simple misunderstandings. And these seemingly petty<\/em> misunderstandings can escalate into huge trouble…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cGood morning, Dave.\u201d Sarah glanced up and smiled briefly as he passed the front desk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOh, you know. We would go out and drink, but not like every night or anything.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She laughed again. \u201cNo, silly, how was your weekend?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He laughed awkwardly, forcing himself to maintain eye contact as she leaned lower over his desk. \u201cUh, about the same.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Carli kept smiling. \u201cThat\u2019s too bad.\u201d She brushed a stray wisp of hair back behind her ear. \u201cSome girl somewhere is totally missing out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dave forced another anxious chuckle. \u201cSooner or later, she\u2019ll wise up and stop looking for me at the bar.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She laughed a third time. \u201cYou are just too much.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Monday meeting got underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a few minutes, Carli glanced down at her phone. She tapped it for a moment or two, then looked back at the presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dave\u2019s phone lit up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“OMG. Jerry is literally almost as boring as my weekend. lol”<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

He smiled and shifted in his seat, then jumped as his foot bumped one of Carli\u2019s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone chuckled politely. Dave glanced at Carli. She caught him in the act and smiled again.<\/p>\n\n\n

How To Know If Woman Is Attracted To You<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Let’s first look back at Dave’s experience with Sarah (the receptionist).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If she were attracted to him, Sarah might have mistaken Dave\u2019s friendly compliment for a sign of interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But she wasn’t, and so she thought Dave was making a pass at her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And that\u2019s exactly what Dave\u2019s afraid of with Carli. He doesn\u2019t want to misread friendliness as a romantic inclination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For sure, it\u2019s often very difficult to tell the difference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That\u2019s especially true of women in the sales or service sectors. Because, for them, a little flirting means more commissions and more generous tips. It’s the nature of their jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, you know what? that doesn\u2019t mean they\u2019re necessarily faking their interest, either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So how can you tell?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The “Baseline” Technique<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Here’s how to know if a woman likes you for sure: establish a baseline<\/em><\/span>. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This means that you’ll need to know how she behaves around the guys who are her (platonic) friends. This will form a “baseline” for you to compare her behavior with when she’s with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If she acts all weird (i.e. when her behavior deviates from the “baseline”)<\/em> around you, it means that she likes you for sure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Simple, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Dave\u2019s case, he\u2019s right. Carli is a very friendly person\u2014when she wants to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it\u2019s safe to say that she has a very different attitude toward Dave than toward the other men around her.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In short, she has deviated from her “baseline”.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And based on that, a closer examination of her behavior is most definitely called for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once you detected any change in how she behaves (or, in technical terms, some “deviation from baseline”<\/em>), you’re more than halfway there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Baseline Deviation” is the most precise way to know if a woman is interested in you.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Additionally, you want to look out for common “Indicators of Interest”<\/em> (or IOIs as what Pickup Artists call them). These are secondary to Baseline Deviation, but still useful nonetheless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  2. She pays you compliments.<\/strong> If a woman finds little things about you to praise, it\u2019s a very good sign. It means she\u2019s interested enough to notice and cares enough to tell you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. She finds reasons to interact.<\/strong> If she wants to see you or talk with you, she\u2019ll find an excuse. Why not help her out by making yourself available at the bus stop or in the hall?<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. She holds conversations.<\/strong> She\u2019ll start chatting casually with you. She\u2019ll ask open-ended questions to learn more about you and keep you engaged. It means she enjoys being around you and wants to know you better.<\/li>\n\n\n\n

    Know this – <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Nothing in the world is absolute. That\u2019s especially true when it comes to romance.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The list above includes signs that are relatively common in women. You may have noticed that Carli displays many of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      It\u2019s important. Being able to notice these subtle signs is half the battle…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      And the other half?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Acting on them.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Why You Can Still Screw Things Up (Even If She Likes You)<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      If you\u2019re anything like Dave, once you\u2019ve recognized the signals, you\u2019ll want to make a move.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
