Got her master\u2019s degree in twentieth-century poetry.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOkay.\u201d I leaned forward on my elbows. \u201cBut now tell me about Sarah.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cHuh?\u201d He was clearly confused. \u201cBut you said\u2014\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou obviously love this girl. I can see that. But just being in love with her\u2014that\u2019s not the reason you\u2019re here to see me for this consultation. Is it?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n He shook his head.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cRight. I really don’t know if she’s playing hard to get<\/a>…<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAnd when none of that worked, I went down the rabbit hole of internet dating advice. Found out all those things you\u2019re supposed to do to get a girl\u2019s attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou know, all those things that are supposed to attract a talented, professionally minded woman.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cLet me guess,\u201d I broke in. \u201cNone of it worked, right?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cIf it had, I wouldn\u2019t be sitting here,\u201d Jamin said. \u201cWould I?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOf course not. That\u2019s what makes the question rhetorical.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI just don\u2019t know what she wants. I have a good job. A nice apartment. I\u2019ve got my shit together. And she knows it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cSo what is she looking for that I don\u2019t have?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n We all ask ourselves that <\/em>question, at one point or another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And no, it’s not “why does unrequited love hurt the most?” <\/em>It’s time to move on from self-pity if you haven’t done so already.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It’s this <\/em>question:<\/p>\n\n\n\n “What is she looking for that I don\u2019t have?”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s always a dark, soul-searching moment when we ask it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because, no matter the answer, it\u2019s never something that we want to hear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Many of us go looking for guidance on this topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And what we find are things that we shouldn\u2019t hear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And so we find “Conventional Dating Advice” articles about qualities women find attractive. They tell us that women look for things like:<\/p>\n\n\n\n And they tell us that, when talking to a woman, you should:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some of these tips are sort of<\/em> on the right track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But they leave out certain crucial <\/em>elements\u2014which is why they don’t really work that well…<\/p>\n\n\n\n …and then others are just flat-out wrong<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You see, a lot of this advice depends on one, single false premise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That women are rational animals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When, as you should know, they are not<\/em>. And I’ll tell you why next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Women are emotional beings, plain and simple. They are hardly rational at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Think about it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If women were rational, dating them and living with them would be a simple matter, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n But, as we all know, dating women can be a living hell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If they were, being a “nice enough” guy would be sufficient to snag the woman of your dreams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n She would think, <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThis guy\u2019s really put together. He\u2019s nice, he\u2019s got his life on track, and he\u2019s really easy to get along with. I like him a lot.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Sadly, the reality is different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And that\u2019s because\u2014I\u2019ll say it again\u2014women are emotional creatures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Logic, reason, common sense? These are the things that are completely alien to a woman!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now look back at the “Conventional Dating Advice” list above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n They sorta make sense, right?<\/p>\n\n\n\n Well, that\u2019s the problem. They make sense<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The trouble is, women aren\u2019t interested in “sense”<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That was Jamin\u2019s hangup. He was expecting Sarah to behave sensibly<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And that\u2019s something you should never expect a woman to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n After all, there\u2019s a reason the novel\u2019s called Sense And Sensibility<\/a><\/em>. Reason and emotion are two very different beasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And never the twain shall meet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So, do yourself a favor and forget about using logic and reason to woo<\/a> the woman of your dreams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What you need is to hit her where it hurts: her emotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n To make a woman love you back, the solution is simple… you’ve got to manipulate her emotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And yes, I will teach you how to manipulate a woman emotionally<\/a>… and do it ethically. What\u2019s the deal?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWell, now that you\u2019ve accepted it, we can get to work on doing it right.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n At first, Jamin refused to recognize that he\u2019s in the business of manipulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you do the same, your delusions are only going to hold you back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But, once you accept it, you\u2019ll find a whole new world open before you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Because, when you get down to it, accept this fundamental truth:<\/p>\n\n\n\n All successful relationships are founded on emotional manipulation.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n I know that sounds bad, but that\u2019s just how female psychology<\/a> works.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Now, remember, manipulation depends on one very important thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Secrecy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If someone knows your goal, you\u2019re not going to be able to manipulate them toward it.
